Off-Campus Study

Program Locations of students at the time of Graduation

The following are the locations for semester-long off-campus programs that St. Lawrence graduates have participated in. Students who participated in multiple programs are counted for each program, but students who studied for multiple semesters in the same program are only counted once for that program.

Starting in March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused significant challenges for international travel. Due to border closures and entry restrictions, limited/no vaccine availability, and uncertain health conditions, St. Lawrence University joined most other US higher education institutions in suspending all off-campus study for the 2020-2021 academic year. During this time, the Center for International and Intercultural Studies facilitated virtual internship opportunities where students developed their intercultural communication skills, worked with diverse colleagues across time zones, increased digital literacy, and prepared for their post-graduate careers. The Center for International and Intercultural Studies also supported students who chose to defer their off-campus study plans to a future semester. St. Lawrence University approved the return of off-campus study in Fall 2021; off-campus study participation numbers are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels throughout the coming semesters, as indicated in the table below.
